Develops, revises and verifies quality standards, test procedures and methodology
Evaluates and tests new or modified software and infrastructure to ensure that they function according to requirements and conform to establishment guidelines
Identifies differences between establishment standards and user applications and suggests modifications to conforming to standards
Monitors performance after implementation to ensure efficiency of operation
Maintains departmental standards and procedures
Acts as an independent monitor on quality matters
Performs quality review of supplier deliverables
Determines and documents overall approach to project/software version control.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCES REQUIRED
Core Skills
Good knowledge of Quality control
Good knowledge of Benchmarking Standards like ISO, SEI etc
Adequate knowledge of Information technology standards and procedures
Adequate knowledge of software/package implementation of enterprise systems
Adequate knowledge of structured system analysis and design , and software
development life-cycle
Networking, Database management systems concepts
Systems Management, Security Management, User Support and Management concept
Experience with automated testing tools like Java JRUN, Version Control tools
Data Analysis Skills
Knowledge of and experience in major operating systems such as
MS Windows 2000/2003, Unix Solaris, Linux etc
Generic Skills
A fair knowledge of banking especially central banking
Good written and oral communication ability
Action planning, Motivating, Analytical mind and strong problem-solving capabilities
Ability to work independently in a highly dynamic environment and work under intense pressure.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
First degree or HND in Computer Science and computer related disciplines
(Computer Engineering, Computer with Economics, Computer
with Mathematics, MIS & Electrical/ Electronics.
Post Graduate Degree in management is an added advantage.
Membership of professional management or information systems bodies is
required e.g. NIM, NCS, CPN,
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 6 years experience, 3 years of which must have been spent performing quality assurance/management and system testing functions.
